Operating in the online market since 2002, ECAT's initial business strategy was to deviate from the 'shot gun" strategy which most online companies used at the time and to focus exclusively on a more specialized approach and serve a specific clientele niche on a customised basis.
One of our main initial objectives was to create what we call our 'Industry Database' for the building industry, whereby we captured all the product information from the suppliers (descriptions, codes, specifications, images and technical drawings) and then made this information available to the wholesalers, merchants, distributors and suppliers, for publication thereof on CD ROM's or on their website.
Through the years, ECAT has, slowly but steadily, built an image of quality excellence and professionalism within the online market, which can now be reflected through our extensive clientele, and in particular, through the various clients' steadfast loyalty and their high quality websites.
